How to install the MyCar Desktop application? 

Instruction

If you want to install the MyCar Business application on your Windows computer, please follow the steps below.


Installing the MyCar Business application

1. Download the installer

Download the MyCar Business installer from the link below:



2. Required files


Before you begin the installation, you should have two files ready:
  • the MyCar Business application installer
  • the license file for your system 




3. Missing files?


If you do not have these files, contact our Customer Support (BOK) at:

Please include the name of your company to receive your system license.



4. Start the installation

If you already have both required files, run MyCarSetup to begin installing MyCar Business.


5. Choose the application language

A window will appear asking you to choose the language of the application.

Select according to your preference. The default option is Polish.




6. Installation wizard

Next, the MyCar Business installation wizard will open.

Click “Next” to continue.



7. Provide the license file


In the following step, the system will ask you to indicate the license file.

Select the file mentioned in Step 3.


If the license is missing, please contact Customer Support at 609 111 114.



8. Choose installation location


Next, the system will ask you to choose the installation path.

You can leave the default location or select a new one.

Click “Next.”




9. Confirm installation


In the final step, the system will ask you to confirm the installation.

Click “Install.”



10. Installation process


The installation will take up to a few minutes.

Once completed, the wizard will inform you that MyCar Business has been successfully installed.

Click “Finish” to close the wizard.



11. Locate the application on the desktop


Congratulations! You have successfully installed MyCar Business.

The last step is to locate the application icon on your desktop.



12. Enable administrator mode


Before launching the application for the first time, you must allow it to run in administrator mode, so it can access future updates.


To do this:

  1. Right-click on the MyCar Business icon

  2. Select Properties

  3. Open the Compatibility tab

  4. Check “Run this program as an administrator”




Troubleshooting


Problem: MS .NET Framework 2.0 is not properly installed

MyCar uses default Microsoft libraries — .NET Framework 2.0.


On some Windows systems, .NET 2.0 may be disabled.

If this message appears, follow these steps:

  1. Open the Windows Control Panel

  2. Select Programs

  3. Click Turn Windows features on or off

  4. Enable .NET Framework 3.5 (includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0)

  5. Click OK — Windows will download and install the missing components

  6. Once .NET Framework is installed, restart the MyCar installation



Problem: “Unable to connect to server”

To work correctly, MyCar requires access to five ports:

Port 
Protocol
3083 TCP
Status data refresh for the MyCar client
1433 TCP
Communication with the MS SQL Server database
3082 TCP
Communication with the MyCar map server
443 TCP
API communication
21 TCP
Application updates

If any of these ports are blocked, the application will not launch.
